NATO Summit: As It Happened
The NATO summit on Wednesday and Thursday was rocked by U.S. President Donald Trump’s continued insistence that other countries aren’t spending enough on defense.
And while German Chancellor Angela Merkel has pushed for the alliance to refocus on defense against potential Russian aggression, Trump’s meeting with Vladimir Putin four days after the summit has raised concerns that the U.S. president could take actions that are not coordinated with NATO.
